The spunlace head (water-jet head) is the core component of a hydroentanglement nonwoven line, used to generate the high-pressure water jets that entangle the fibers of the web into fabric.
It is the heart of spunlacing: rows of high-pressure water jets fire through the fiber web, entangling the fibers tightly and bonding them into fabric purely mechanically, with no adhesive and no heat. The result is a soft, absorbent, strong and clean nonwoven suited to wipes, hygiene products and medical materials. The nozzle-strip layout and water pressure are controlled to keep the entanglement even across the full fabric width.
