Overview

Product overview

The Type I cross lapper is a web-forming unit that folds the carded web into a multi-layer batt within a nonwoven production line, setting the weight and width of the batt before bonding. It suits needle-punch, spunlace and thermal-bonding processes.

It folds the web back and forth on a new folded-plate frame for high stability, with an anti-static PVC apron at the infeed and a synchronous-belt-driven reciprocating motion for smooth, precise laying. The unit takes an input apron of 1700~2700mm and delivers an output apron of 2700~10600mm, at a spreading speed of ≤45m/min and power of 8.2~23.9kw.

Q & A

Frequently asked questions

What is the Cross Lapper (Type Ⅰ) used for?

It cross-laps the carded web to build the batt, suited to nonwoven production via needle-punch, spunlace (hydroentanglement) and thermal-bonding technologies.

Why do the input and output apron widths differ?

The input apron is 1700~2700mm while the output apron is 2700~10600mm, because the machine layers the web crosswise across the output width to build a batt wider and thicker than the incoming web.

What is the spreading speed and power rating?

Maximum spreading speed is ≤45m/min, with motor power of 8.2~23.9kw.

What design keeps it stable and smooth-running?

A new folded-plate frame provides high stability, an anti-static PVC apron handles the infeed, and the reciprocating motion is driven by a synchronous belt for smooth, precise laying.

Can Vina Nonwoven help choose the right lapper for my production technology?

Yes, Vina Nonwoven can advise on the right lapper for your process (needle-punch, spunlace or thermal-bonding) and quote based on your specific configuration. Please contact us via hotline or Zalo.
