Huayang Bico spunbond air through bonding production line
Bico composite spunbond line consolidated by hot air-through bonding for high-end carpet backing fabric.
Type a machine or brand name — for example "needle loom", "carding", "Zhentai".
Production line for automotive-grade dual-component (bico) composite spunbond filament needle-punched felt for vehicle interior applications.
The bico spunbond needlepunch line for automotive is a spunbond nonwoven line built to produce automotive-grade needle-punched felt from dual-component (bico) composite filaments.
It works on the bico spunbond principle: PET/COPET is melt-spun into continuous composite filaments by slot air drafting, laid into a web, then consolidated by needle-punching. Combining two polymers (PET/COPET) in each continuous bico filament lets the felt stay tough and dimensionally stable at heavy basis weights while taking a molded shape under heat and pressure. The resulting material delivers high tensile strength, superior toughness and long service life while staying lightweight, sound-absorbing and 100% recyclable; its excellent moldability for press-forming makes it a critical material for automotive interiors, typically battery underbody shields and wheel hub covers for new energy vehicles (EVs). This line targets heavy fabrics at 600–2000g/m², 5.0–6.0dpf and 5–50m/min, on a 3.0m work width for 4,000 tonnes per year of output.

"Bico" refers to dual-component (bicomponent) composite spunbond filament; this line needle-punches bico filament into automotive-grade felt made from PET/COPET.
It is used for battery underbody shields and wheel hub covers on new energy vehicles (EVs).
It offers high tensile strength, superior toughness and long service life, while being lightweight, sound-absorbing, 100% recyclable and highly moldable for press-forming — ideal for shaped automotive components.
A 3.0 m work width, 600–2,000 g/m² fabric weight, 5.0–6.0 dpf denier, a production speed of 5–50 m/min (slot air drafting), and a capacity of 4,000 t/y.
They differ in how the web is bonded, in weight class and in end product. This line bonds by needle-punching, giving automotive-grade felt at a very high 600–2000g/m², 5.0–6.0dpf filament, 3.0m width, 5–50m/min and 4,000 t/y — used for battery-pack underbody shields and wheel-hub covers. The air-through line bonds with hot air blown through the web, giving much lighter high-end carpet backing (20–300g/m²) at 2.4m width, up to 200m/min and 6,500 t/y. In short: needle-punch for thick, load-bearing material; air-through for light fabric at high volume.
